- With Mindfulness Meditation
you focus on your sensations and what's happening in the present moment. The purpose is about getting to the present moment and experiencing Presence. Transcendental Meditation is - at it's core - about going beyond your thoughts and experiencing the Divine. The "TM movement" have teachers that give the student a sound or mantra to focus on. You use sounds by chanting, image colors, or do movements that open the chakras.A Loving Kindness Meditation focuses on the heart and compassion. you focus on images your mind creates as you listen to someone guiding you on a journey. Make sure your scroll down to get to the good info! I have some advise...I think finding out about all of these types of meditations is a bit overwhelming. So... Why not just find a practice or a few practices that intrigue you and try them out for a while... After you've done that... for a few years... you can see what the next thing is that interests you... If you have any questions about meditation, please ask... I don't know everything, but I am happy to share with you what I do know.
